Anorther very busy week. This week we have secured a new training venue offering free Wi-Fi, Unlimited tea, coffee and refreshments, Buffet Lunch at a very upmarket location near Swindon, Wiltshire. Our prices will be very competitive giving a deal like none other.

A very busy week with crews travelling across the UK. We have now concluded our trials of the new Compact ambulance and go to the design phase of what we want in it. We will be ordering several of these to enhance our fleet for the future.  Welcome to our new staff who will enhance our ability even further. Congratulations to all our Paramedics and Al on completion of the PTLLS course allowing them to teach for us. We now have the beginnings of a new training team.

This week we have been very busy. Our MD has been selected to the PTS National working group for the Independant Ambulance Association, and we have been asked to provide Medical cover for the Olympic torch ceremony in Swindon. Alongside this we have increased our staff, and now have our own Paramnedic training team in place.

Following a record month, and our MD receiving his Degree with Oxford Brookes University, we are delighted to have received the Wiltshire Business of the Year Award for Staff and Customer Care. This award was received at the awards last night on behalf of all staff and is in recognition of the dedication of our team. This week we were also made founder members of the Independant Ambulance Association - a new professional body to drive the industry forward.

 

7 April 2012

This week we have completed the day to day work we are allocated as well as allocating crews to move 21 patients across Bristol from one hospital to a brand new hospital. The patients were accompanied by numerous bags and the move went without any hitches, even utilising our bariatric facility unexpectedly. A big thank you to all involved for such a good effort.

This week we are honoured to have been made founder members of the Independant Ambulance Association. This new body has been formed to represent the independant ambulance services across England. It is further recognition of our quality services.

At the end of a very busy week, we are delighted to have secured a major contract with a large organisation to provide patient transport across the southern region. This will work alongside other contracts and coincides with our relocation to new premises in the Gloucester region.

We are really pleased to have been awarded three awards as Finalists in the Wiltshire Business of the Year Awards 2011. These were awarded for Small Business of the Year, Staff and Customer Care, and Business Person of the Year to our Managing Director. These awards are in recognition of the hard work that has gone on over the last twelve months and we would like to thank all of our staff and clients for their help in achieving this.

This week sees a very busy week for our teams - with visits from the Independant Ambulance Association which we hope to become founder members of, and the Wiltshire Business of the Year Awards judges, alongside several high level meetings. We also hope to be moved into our new Gloucester depot within the next week and will post more on this as it happens.

AM Medical Services tops the awards

Following a record year in 2011, AM Medical Services (South) Ltd of Swindon has even more cause to celebrate this year.

As well as being awarded a contract with the UK’s largest private hospital provider, MD Andy Ormston has been named as a finalist in the Wiltshire Business of the Year Awards as Business Person of the Year. The company was also awarded finalist positions in the Small Business category and also Staff and Customer Care categories.

With its state of the art equipment and vehicles, AM Medical has invested heavily in vehicles and equipment to offer its clients high levels of comfort during their journeys. The company also specialises in bariatric patient care, allowing patients up to 62 stone to be afforded comfort and dignified transport solutions across the region.

Over the last twelve months, AM Medical Services have moved numerous patients many miles across the UK and abroad, as well as providing many hours of training, and also medical cover for numerous events including the visits to Royal Wootton Bassett by Prime Minister David Cameron and HRH Princess Anne.
