Intermediate Life Support
Synopsis
Healthcare professionals can play a significant part in a resuscitation before the ambulance service arrives. The ILS course provides staff with a scenario based training day building on a modular approach from the basic approach to airway management to the more advanced management. Staff should ideally have attended a three day first aid at work course or have a basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Taught by professional staff with an emergency background.
