Synopsis
When catheterisation is indicated, consideration should be given to the type of continence assistance given.
With current evidence suggesting supra pubic catheterisation is the gold standard, increasing numbers of these are being admitted to care homes.
The course is designed for anyone involved in supra pubic catheter care and takes an interactive approach to the subject.
It is suitable for carers and qualified nurses alike.The course is based on current NICE guidelines, the Marsden manual and Royal College of Nursing competencies.
